The Clockwork Christmas Workshop

Open the doors to a Christmas workshop where every bright idea turns a golden gear. The Clockwork Christmas Workshop is a richly illustrated invention journey for curious children who love drawing, making, mechanisms and imaginative problem-solving. An original story introduces Juniper Gearsmith and Pip the clockwork robin before young inventors explore a workshop map, create their inventor pass and learn a clear six-step design process. Sixteen researched toy-history facts cover jigsaws, kaleidoscopes, teddy bears, dolls’ houses, Meccano, LEGO bricks, Slinky, Play-Doh, yo-yos, Crayola, Rubik’s Cube, Matchbox toys, paper dolls, toy trains, building blocks and board games. Eight open-ended briefs invite children to design a comfort toy, rolling toy, two-answer puzzle, outdoor winter toy, quiet toy, two-person toy, tiny-space toy and festive surprise. The finished route includes three idea thumbnails, a final blueprint, parts map, movement storyboard, three-stage test log, package front, twenty-second pitch and master toymaker certificate. Designed for screen-free Christmas creativity at home, in a classroom or during the holiday break, with generous drawing space and pass-friendly prompts.
